Befriending Amy
“Hi All.
Just wanted to mention how lucky I’ve been to get to know Amy Lee. I remember the moment I heard her voice (while at a spin class feeling the hate and then that VOICE delivered me!) Well, come to find out she’s a great heart and a music geek like myself (!)We’ve bonded a bit in friendship and music: we found ourselves discussing and loving songs, trying ideas together. I love the intensity of our two voices together. Really, it’s quite the energy-vitamin shot. So, I had the fortune of her presence at my last show in Long Island. We sang a couple of covers (Neil Young and a traditional Appalachian song). Loved it, loved it, loved it. Thank you, Amy, and hope there is more where that came from.
Now I’m in the cocoon of the writing-mind. I am loving being here. Lately I’m finding wings in new songs, working and envisioning the next album. This is what I love to do, and I feel very lucky. Coming through the darkness with diamonds…Many thanks, and love, Paula.”
